TTD Chairman makes announcement
The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) chairman B Karunakar Reddy on Tuesday speaking to media announced that the third phase of Kalyanamastu third phase programme would be held on March 9, 2008.
He urged the prospective brides and grooms to utilize the opportunity and get united in Mesha Lagnam. In the previous two phases of Kalyanamastu programme, nearly 14,000 marriages were performed, he said. Prominent scholars like Tangirala Prabhakara Purnaiah Siddanti, Vedantam Vishnu Bhatttacharyulu, Mariganti Venkata Krishnamacharyulu, Pidaparti Subramanyam Sarma, Gopavajjala Balasubramanyam Sastry and other vedic scholars fixed the muhurtam for the third phase of Kalyanamastu programme.
The TTD Chairman Karunakar Reddy and the temple Executive Officer KV Ramanachari received the Lagna Patrik from Prabhakara Purnaiah Siddanti. JEO G Balaramaiah, TUDA chairman and TTD board member Ch Bhaskar Reddy, DPP secretary Vijaya Raghavacharya, Officer on Special Duty of Kalyanamastu programme PV Sesha Reddy and temple chief priest Venkataramana Deekshitulu and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
