Kanipakam temple festival begins from September 16, 2007

Elaborate arrangements made for hassle-free darshan of Lord Ganesh
The Executive Officer of the Kanipakam Temple, G Keshavulu said that the Annual Brahamostsavam of Sri Swayambhu Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy Temple will start off with Dhwajarohanam on September 16, 2007.
He said the temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements to ensure hassle-free darshan for pilgrims. All arjitha sevas will remain canceled during the festival to enable more number of pilgrims to have darshan. He added that free food will be provided from 10am to 10pm under Nitya Annadanam programme. Welcome arches and 19 illuminated cutouts of mythological characters are being erected to give a festive look.
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will be running special buses from Tirupati, Chittoor and Madanapalle during the festival to meet the pilgrims rush. The Executive Officer said that Vahanasevas which will commence in the evening end at 9pm.
