TTD Board resolves to cancel VIP darshan pass

No special privileges on Vaikunta Ekadasi and New Year

The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) board of trustees that met on Monday has decided to cancel the issuance of VIP darshan pass both on Vaikunta Ekadasi and New year. Speaking to media, the TTD Chairman, B Karunakar Reddy said that the decision was taken in the larger interests of the visiting devotees. He said that the number of devotees visiting the temple on these days will be on high, the TTD Management has thought it wise to dispense with the issuance of VIP darshan tickets.

He further said that the Board also resolved to air condition all the compartments in both the massive Vaikuntam queue complexes besides setting up of over 103 plasma color television sets in all the compartments for the benefit of the waiting devotees.

The Board also resolved to organize Bhakti Chaitanya yatras from December 1 to propagate Hindu dharma and human values among the people. Three Bhakti Chaitanya Rathams will go around the State covering a distance of more than 9,000 km.
