Party President N Chandrababu Naidu says Regional Parties to play due role at Centre

The Party President of Telugu Desam Party, N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurating the three day silver jubilee Mahanadu on Sunday, said that the future belongs to the regional parties as they reflected people's aspiration more better. He commented that for the regional parties, it is the people who constituted high command where as for Congress, it was the high command at Delhi.

Recalling the party's pro-active role in the erstwhile United Front and National Front, he said that his party would resume its efforts to play its due role at the Central level. During his ninety minutes speech in the well decorated auditorium, in which 15,000 party delegates sweated in out putting up the oppressive heat, applauded him whenever he launched a broadside against the Congress.

During his speech, he warned that the senior leaders of the party that the dead wood would be side-lined. He appealed that the aged to give way to the younger generations. He observed that some senior leaders were trammeling the youth preventing them to enter into active politics. He warned that this tendency would not be tolerated.
