Decentralization of Central Reservation System at Tirumala

Darshan of Lord Venkateswara to be made easy
Necessary arrangements have been made to the meet the ever increasing needs of the pilgrims who have made reservation for Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, accommodation and prasadam at Garudadri Nagar cottages, entrance to Tirumala Hills. The move is a part of decentralization of the Central Reservation System at Tirumala to accommodate nearly 8000 rooms and three huge amenities complexes.
The decision was taken by the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD), the Central Reservation System will be divided into advance reservation, current booking and free accommodation facility. E-Booking, advance reservation through TTD information centres, Internet booking for accommodation and quota system to the government agencies like Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation and Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation come under the purview of the Advance Reservation Counter for which there is an exclusive premises at Garudadri Nagar Cottages. Internet counter will operate round the clock to provide accommodation to pilgrims and issue Darshan tickets. The counter will be manned by an AEO and three Superintendents who work round the clock in three shifts.
According to the Deputy Executive Officer (Reception) Jayaram said that the new system will minimize inconvenience to the pilgrims in getting accommodation as we as Darshan tickets. Devotees seeking free accommodation can approach the Pilgrim Amenities Complex-I. The existing central reservation office building will deal with current booking and rail reservation, he added.
