Nearly 60 mutt heads to participate
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has decided to hold a meeting of pontiffs from 60 different mutts across the country at Tirumala on February 3. It is a rare occasion.
According to officials, it is an effort to rope in different pontiffs to propagate dharma through TTD's programmes. The involvement of Swamijis will give more credibility to various activities of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of TTD and scope for wider propagation.
The TTD chairman B. Karunakara Reddy stove hard in convincing the various saints to participate in the programme for the last six months. He personally visited every mutt to convince the heads of the mutt.
