TTD approves 916 crore budget

Receives contributions for mass marriages
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) trust board has approved a Rs. 916.24 crore budget for the financial year 2007-08 on Sunday. Of the total income, the hundi collections alone account for Rs. 342.50 crores while the sale of Arjitham and special entry Darshan tickets is expected to fetch Rs. 105 crores.
The Chairman of the TTD B. Karunakar Reddy said that TTD had already received Rs. 20 lakhs as contribution towards the mass marriage programme. He also said that the board resolved to sell 5 gm glen mangalasutrams across the counters.
