TTD Chief gives assurance
The Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Chairman B.Karunakar Reddy on Monday assured believers that non Hindu religious propaganda on the hill town would not be tolerated under any circumstances. After assuming charge as Chairman of TTD, he reiterated that Lord Venkateswara still held the Seven Hills and the revenue jurisdiction had not dwindled to hills as reported
On the reports about his political affiliations as student leader, he advised restrain on the part of the media and recalled that the TTD’s former Executive Officer PVRK Prasad would vouch for his religious learnings. He ruled out the recent media reports that members of other religions had been propagating their beliefs and a thorough investigation had revealed no evidence to that effect.
He said that for the first time, TTD had decided to give away to devotees participating in the immersion festival ‘pustaka prasadam’.
