State Election Authority conducts meeting with collectors
The State Election Authority V Bhaskar has convened a meeting with the District Collectors of four Rayalaseema Districts and the Districts of Nellore and Prakasam to discuss about the Legislative Council elections.
Media sources say that a notification for the enrollment of voters would be released on September 29 and that the enrollment process itself will begin on November 6. Draft list and the final list are expected to be released on November 29 and December 26 respective.
It may be recalled that the present state government is keen on brining back the Legislative Council system that was abolished during the NT Rama Rao Government reign. While some section of the politicians are keen on having the Council, many others say it is a waste of public money.
