ACB officials arrests gold appraiser

Property and wealth to a tune of over Rs. 82.58 lakhs identified
The officials of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested D Suresh Babu on Tuesday working as gold appraiser in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous searches were conducted at his house in Tirumala and his relatives houses at Chennai revealed that he amassed property and wealth worth over Rs.82.58 lakhs. His properties included a four storied building and two house sites at Tirupati, a poultry farm and 18 acres of agricultural land at Srikalahasthi, diamond and gold Jewellery worth Rs.22 lakh. Rs.25 lakhs of silver ornaments and Rs.2 lakhs cash. He would be produced before a special court at Nellore according to a press release.
