Security tightened at Tirumala

Following the serial bomb blasts in Varanasi on Tuesday, Superintendent of Police VV Gopalakrishna sounded high alert in the entire district, particularly at major temple towns such as Tirumala, Tirupati, Sri Kalahasti and Kanipakkam. He said checks were intensified at Alipiri chekpost, Tirumala GNC tollgate, Vaikutam and other vital points. Meanwhile, TTD vigilance and security officials have intensified security arrangements.
