Colorful start to temple ritual

Brahmotsavam at the shrine of Kapileswara in Kapila Theertham began on a colorful note on Sunday. With 'Dhwajorohanam', the traditional hoisting of the temple flag atop the flag post.
Amid beating of traditional percussion instruments and the chanting of hymns from the scriptures, the chief priest hoisted the flag with an image of 'Nandi' atop the 'Dwajasthambham'.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer APVN Sarma took part in the 'Homam' that followed the event.
