Tirupati Railway Station to go modern

eSeva centers to begin issuing railway tickets soon

Tirupati Railway Station is all set to go modern with Divisional Managers given the authority to spend up to Rs. 40 Lakhs towards works. Added to this, Tirupati is one amongst the five railway stations picked up in the Guntakal region for development.

Union Minister of State for Railways R Velu speaking to the press said that works such as improvement of its facade, refurbishment of waiting halls, concourse, furniture and provision of high-mast lighting are underway. Velu made a visit

Mr Velu inspected the various facilities available at the Railway Station. He is accompanied by the General Manager of South Central Railways Mr. D Narayan Mathur and Guntakal Divisional Manager Mr. PK Jain

Mr. Velu said the eSeva Centers in the state will be given facility to reserve railway tickets online soon. This facility will be extended to all eSeva centers in the state.
