Rally held to commemorate Indian Sports Day

Contributions of Indian Hockey Icon Dhyan Chand recalled
Hockey and Badminton players from Tirupati took a rally to commemorate the birthday celebrations of the Indian Hockey icon Dhayn Chand. Considered as the 'King of Hockey', 'Small Sepoy of a Great Indian Army' and as 'Magician of hockey', Dhayn Chand always remained as an inspiration to the Indians. His birthday was marked as the Indian National Sports Day
The rally began at the Srinivasa Sports Complex and Prakasam Road, Gandhi Road, G Kar Veedhi, Netaj Road, Bheriveedhi and ended at the Arts College. The rally was inaugurated by TTD Educational Officer Somasundaram. Sportsmen in large numbers have participated in the rally.
