Waiting time of Darshan of Lord Venkateswara time is 122 hours

In the history of Lord Venkateswara temple, the waiting time for pilgrims in general queue lines for darshan have touched a record of 122 hours. Officials said the unprecedented rush is due to the Dasara vacation and the Pertasi month (for Tamils) .Besides this, the most important event of Brahmotsavam - Garuda Seva falls on Saturday. The day is considered to be most auscipicious one to worship the Lord. Pilgrims who could not even secure accommodation despite waiting for several hours staged a dharna at the Central Reception office on Friday afternoon. It was only after the police intervened, the situation has come to normalcy.
