Income Tax exemptions for donations to TTD Scheme

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the body constituted for dealing with matters relating to levy and collection of direct taxes and formulation of policy concerning administrative reforms and changes for the effective functioning of Income-tax Department has renewed the 125 per cent Income Tax exemptions for all donations to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's Sri Balaji Arogya Varaprasadini Scheme.

The Tax Exemption was being allowed under Section 35(i)(ii) of the Income Tax Act of 1961.
