Sri Kalahasti Temples earnings at Rs. 17 Crores

The Temple of Lord Shiva's worshipped as Kalahasteeswara at Sri Kalahasti has reported earnings at Rs. 17 Crores making it one of the richest temples in Andhra Pradesh. The temples earnings for the previous year were at Rs. 14 crores. Thanks to the suggestion of the priests at the temple, the Rahu-Ketu Dosha Nivarana Pooja has been a successful earner for the Temple. The temple introduced this Pooja in the year 1994.

The temple is now attracting Saivite devotees all round the year. Added to this, the number of VIP's visiting the temple also grew. As much as Rs. 7 crores was earned through this.

Secretary of the temple N Somasekhar estimated good earnings for the temple this year, particularly this summer season.
