Ruia Government Hospital all set to have a makeover

Chitoor Town's most famous hospital - the SVR Ruia Government Hospital is all set to have new faces. The hospital is all set to have a make over in order to provide better services to the public.

The hospital which registered 1.5 lakh outpatients during 2003 had reported 2 lakh outpatients in 2004. The number in 2005 is expected to far number.

The Hospital Superindent Y Rama Krishnaiah said that the hospital 64-bed casualty block during this year. The hospital, which got a grant of Rs 3.5-crore Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to purchase treadmills, ventilators for emergency patients and X-ray machines with image intensifiers among other infrastructure facilities. The hospital registered a total of 37,415 inpatients in 2004 while 5,794 operations were performed.
