Munsif court sentences imprisonment to 7 TTD employees

A Munsif court in Tirupati sentences imprisonment to 7 Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) employees in a arson case.

The 7 were accused of attacking a constable and pelting stones at the Chief Reception Office at the Tirumala Hills on July 5, 1997. The accused are T. Venkatesh, M. Brahmananda Raju, M. Nagarjuna, T. Chokkalingam, Saibaba, K.V. Ramana and Appaiah who are staff of TTD and another person V. Krishna. The case was investigated by the then sub-inspector of police P. Sivasankar Reddy.

Second additional munsif magistrate Venkata Ramana sentenced the accused to three months imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each.
