TTD welcomes flowers for Bramhostavams

The Garden Department of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam announced that it will be accepting flower donations starting September 15, 2004 for use in the Bramhostavams. The announcement was made by P.T. Srinivas – Superintendent of the Gardens.
The annual Bramhostavams of Lord Sri Venkateswara will be held from September 16th to September 24th. The Garden Department is welcoming flowers – either loose or tied so that they can be used during the festive season. The flowers that will be used for Srivaru can include rose, chamanthi, scented geranium, ganneru, nandi vardhanam, lotus, moravum, dhavanam, lily, jaji, malli, kanakambaram, molalu, kuriveru, vettiveru, vadamalli, aster, marigold, mogili, vrikshi and thulasi. Cut flowers of roses, chrysanthemum, gerbera, carnations, limonias, aster, anthuriums, liliums, gladioli, vettiveru, tube-rose, orchids, golden-rod, Bird of Paradise, heliconias, asparagus, etc. are also welcome.
The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation and the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka State Transport Corporation have come forwarded with arrangements for the transportation of flowers to the temple on time during the festival season free of cost.
