Panel begins probe on Mandapam issue

The Former TTD Executive Officer, PVRK Prasad, heading three member committee formed to study the mandapam row, on Monday said a comprehensive report would be submitted to the Government within the stipulated three months time.

Speaking with the media, he said their focus would be to look into whether the dismantling of the 1000 pillar mandapam was carried out within the guidelines laid down in the Agama Shastras or not. He said the TTD management's arguments and the objections raised by Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy would be given equal importance.

He stated that the committee would meet Peethadhipathis, Mathadipathis and Vaishnavite religious heads and seek their advice.
