Kanchi Peetham to assist setting Medical College in Kalahasthi

Representative from the Kanchi Peetham – Siva Shambu and local legislative representative SCV Naidu discussed about the possibility of setting up a Medical College in Kalahasthi with the assistance from the Kanchi Peetham.

During the meeting, Siva Sambhu said that crores of rupees were donated to the Kanchi Peetham by devotees with a view that the funds are utilized for the benefit of the society. The 43-points draft about the college was discussed. It was told that there will be no returns for the project for the first ten years.

The trust was rechristened from "Srikalahasthi Swamy Devasthanam Chartiable Trust" to "Sri Kanchi Kama Kothi Peetham Srikalahasthi Swamy Devasthanam Chartiable Trust"
