Tension prevails at Punganur on custodial death issue

Tension prevailed at Punganur in the district on Sunday following the death of a person allegedly in the custody of Excise police. The news spread like wild fire and the station came under attack by the enraged public, the SI and CI left the station by locking it. Relatives of the victim staged a dharna infornt of the station demanding action against the inspector and the staff.
