Digital screens to broadcast Tirumala Brahmotsavams

30 August 2004
Tirupati

The Brahmotsavams at Tirumala this year will rather be very special. Visitors of the temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara will have the opportunity of viewing the annual Brahmotsavam festivals on giant digital screens that will be setup in Tirumala. So, if you are left over in the crowd, you can see the Lord Venkateswara and other deities who will be taken in the processing on a digital screen.

The Brahmotsavam festivals this year will be held in September and October due to the adhika masam that comes this year. The caretaker of the temple – the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is making all arrangements to make the holy program to be accessible by one and all. It may be recalled that over 50 people were injured during the Brahmotsavams last year due to stampede and TTD is not taking any chances this year.

The Digital screens will be rented by TTD, the cost of which is near about Rs. 70,000 according to sources. Three to Four such digital screens will be setup during the festival days.
